The next problem we face not so often, but for a long time, is removing stubborn matte lipstick or tint from the lips. We’re talking about the very cases when a simple micellar water or cleansing gel is not enough. What then? Here are a few ways to remove stubborn make-up from your lips.
Method 1: using petroleum jelly
One of the easiest yet effective means of removing stubborn lipstick is ordinary cosmetic petroleum jelly. Apply it on your lips in a thick layer and leave it on for about 3-5 minutes. This time is necessary for the product to interact with the lipstick. Due to the oil content in petroleum jelly, it binds fats and waxes that are usually found in permanent lip make-up products and breaks them down. After the time has passed, take a cotton disc or tissue and gently remove the residue of Vaseline from your lips. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated.
Method 2: with oil
The same effect as petroleum jelly, has a cosmetic oil. Coconut oil is best, as it is considered hypoallergenic and has no side effects and contraindications. It should be applied to the lips and left for at least 3-5 minutes. After – carefully remove the oil residue with a paper napkin or cotton disc. If the pigment is not completely gone, the procedure can be repeated.
