Fog rainbow
Another rare optical phenomenon is the fog bow. It does not appear as often as it may seem. It requires very specific conditions, the fog is made up of very small water droplets (with a radius of less than 25 micrometres). Because of the diffraction of light, which increases as the droplets get smaller, colours disappear. Therefore, a misty rainbow is white in colour, for which sailors have nicknamed it ‘ghostly’. It usually appears over the sea or marshy areas.

Halo
A halo is one of the most beautiful wonders of nature, which is a halo around a powerful light source like the Sun or the Moon. It seems as if this heavenly eye is looking down on you from above. This phenomenon occurs most often in high latitudes with puffy clouds, when sunlight is refracted in ice crystals. Halo is called a ‘false sun’.

A long-known working scheme is a map of desires. All you need to create it is heavy paper and printed pictures of your dream: a five-star hotel in the Maldives with a swimming pool right in your room, a luxurious suite in Dubai with a view of the whole city, or spa treatments in an Altai bath. In general, choose your fighter. It works on the principle of ‘request to the Universe’. And yes, you don’t need to go through any marathons for this.

We don’t know of a more desirable destination for many travellers than the Maldives. Let’s not even argue that it’s the perfect place for a retreat. There you’ll find morning yoga sessions on the shores of the Indian Ocean and gastronomic discoveries led by chefs from Michelin restaurants.

Start your day with breakfast at Amphora, sitting on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Akamas Peninsula. With a hot coffee or a freshly squeezed fresh juice, you’re sure to feel like a character from a film. And if you fall during the Easter weekend, which is scheduled at Anassa from 3 to 5 May, you will not only feel like a film, but also like a holiday. We highly recommend trying the flauna, a Cypriot pastry with homemade cheeses and mint, and the olive pie, otherwise where else will you get a taste of traditional festive cuisine.

Once you’ve explored almost the entire hotel, it’s time to get to the main attractions for all the girls – Thalassa Spa and the Kult boutique. But in order not to nullify the effect of Anassa’s signature massage, shopping comes first and then everything else. Kult boutique, designed by Italian architect Paolo Giacchi (his works include Louis Vuitton and Fendi boutiques in Florence), is located next to Thalassa Spa, so you won’t need much time to change location. Only, of course, if you do not ‘drown’ in the variety of choices. After all, you won’t remember where you last saw the new collections of Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo and other brands. Paradise, indeed!

The Maldives is the perfect choice for those seeking privacy. Just imagine, there is only clear water of the Indian Ocean, white sand and untouched nature. And if you choose the right hotel, you can avoid meeting other tourists. It seems to sound like a perfect plan. In general, the Maldives includes more than a thousand islands of coral origin, of which only two hundred are inhabited. And each of them is unique due to its location. So choose a neighbourhood depending on your own needs. It is good that there is a place for diving enthusiasts and even for those who adore surfing.

Anyone who has been to the Seychelles knows that its main attraction is its giant tortoises and giant rocks. However, the main hobby here is diving. After all, the visibility underwater can safely compete with the same Maldives. Especially on one of the islands-atoll Aldabra, which is included in the list of natural heritage of UNESCO. By the way, from the pleasant – seasonality in Seychelles is a stretchable concept. The hot weather here is from November to May. But in the remaining months you can face cold nights.

Cuba is the most controversial country in this selection. Some people like it, some don’t. But here, it is more about the service and the lack of food we are used to than about nature. Everything is fine in Cuba. Everyone who has been on the beaches of Varadero or Cayo Coco will definitely say that there is no more beautiful place on the Atlantic coast. The water here is crystal clear, and the sand is snow-white. And if you find a beach with palm trees, you’ve won the lottery, turning your dreams into a reality.

Food
If you try hard, you can find exotics like mopane worms (caterpillars) and elephant in these African countries, but tourist spots offer pork, beef, chicken, crocodile, ostrich and antelopes – springbok, impala and kudu.

In a coastal-desert town in Namibia it is better to emphasise seafood, but do not count on delicacies in restaurants. Cooking is generally poor, overcooking or stuffing everything in batter.
